Lost time ...

Updated: Feb 4, 2020

I don't know why, but of all people at public transports, those who read books are the most irritating ones. Not only because they pretend to be smart because they read, but because they take two standing places in crowded train. One for them and one for the book. And especially if they are a little farsighted so they have to hold the book little bit away.

Once I used to devour books, but is it a problem for them to be on mobile phones like all of us?!It’s common today, not reading books butmobile phones, especially if we have groups on whatsapp or viber, and humorous messages come to us from early morning to cheer us up on these dark and foggy days. I have two groups for such messages myself. And it's so "cool" that sometimes I can't wait to get a message, to laugh and pass it on.

But one afternoon, I was travelling home from work with several of my  colleagues. It was not some imaginary but a real group of people, but they were not as interesting as these whatsapp messages. One of them told me I was a mobile phone addict. I almost never use it so I was caught  by such a statement. However, I began to think about why they criticized me.

In the end, I decided to reduce more my mobilephone using. And what happened to me !? In just a few days I finished reading one great book that I started reading last year.

If I continue that way, I'll become one of the irritating books readers on the train.
