Do we need a yellow light?
Updated: Jun 28, 2019
Samobor, Karlovac, Bjelovar and other cities in Croatia instal semaphores that show how many seconds the yellow or red lights last.

"If traffic lights have the counters of seconds, you know exactly how much seconds you have until the green light is on, and you shouldn't have the situation to stay in the middle of the crossroads. In Zagreb there is a such traffic system that green light suddenly goes out and you are actually in the red light. The yellow traffic light is used to adjust your passage through the crossroads, and it is legally treated as the red one. Then if it is so, it needs to be abolished; we don’t need it" says Siniša Mihelić from the Pedestrian and bicycle trade union.
What is your attitude? Would you abolish the yellow light? Or would you amend the Traffic Safety Act on Roads?
