Barica - artificial intelligence from Varaždin FOI

Artificial intelligence is bringing us the next technological revolution. They know this well at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin. That is why a team of scientists and students, as part of their regular practical training in the study of computer science, designed a project of artificial intelligence, which they called - Barica.

Artificial Intelligence - assistant Barica - was created by a team led by Professor Markus Schatten.

- "Barica" is an abbreviation for Beautiful Artificial Intelligence Cognitive Agent. Barica is a name from Zagorje, but we had to come up with the name to be artificial intelligence, saidProfessor Schatten.

It provides students with useful information about classrooms, professors, and schedules.

- Students are very interested. Barica introducedthem to the very important technologies of today, from artificial intelligence, processing artificial language, converting human speech into text, the professor points out.

This kind of work is not new for about three thousand students. The faculty also operates an artificial intelligence laboratory.

- FOI is known for innovative learning conceptsand a way of working. We have an extremely large number of project-implemented subjects, explains prof. Nina Begičević Ređep, the Dean of FOI.

Ninety percent of students in this college get a job even before graduation. And regardingBarica ... emerging is her male copy - Štef.
